Appliqué

The embroidery industry have used laser cutters for many years for appliqué. Cut pieces of fabric can be incorporated into embroidery to reduce the amount of stitches in a design. A more recent development is the reverse appliqué. This technique is done on the Graphixscan machine. A piece of fabric is positioned underneath a garment and then the laser cuts through the top garment, exposing the fabric underneath. The fine control of the laser enables you to cut through one layer without damaging the fabric underneath. The Flat Bed Laser cutting machines are used for cutting patterns into Leather shoes and bags.
